Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about “Life at the Creek.” I absolutely love being a part of this amazing Otter family and it is an honor to serve as Principal of Overall Creek Elementary.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina- Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. I began my teaching career with the Department of Defense and taught 4th and 5th grade. After being stationed in TN, I quickly joined Murfreesboro City Schools and helped open The Discovery School as a 4th grade teacher. A few years later, I moved to Scales Elementary and taught 1st and 4th grades. While teaching, I earned my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from MTSU and moved into administration. I have served as Assistant Principal for Scales, Bradley, and Overall Creek, as well as Principal of Bradley Academy, and now Principal of Overall Creek.
As the instructional leader of Overall Creek, I am dedicated to cultivating a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that fosters exploration, critical thinking, and a passion for learning. It is my goal to support our teachers so they can empower our Otters to be problem solvers and creative thinkers every day. I believe that building strong relationships between our students, staff, and stakeholders is essential to parent and community involvement and the success of a school. Working with and for our children is my passion. My role as principal allows me to advocate for and make decisions that directly impact our students. I love what I do each day and look forward to making a difference in the lives of children and educators. I am excited about this new adventure and look forward to watching our Otters Lead the Way!

Welcome to our website, where educational excellence and student success are at the forefront of everything we do. It is an honor to serve as the Assistant Principal of Overall Creek.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and my Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from MTSU. I have been with Murfreesboro City Schools for 19 years. I started with the district working ESP, and upon graduating I began my teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher at John Pittard Elementary. After several years, I moved to 2nd grade. Five years later, I moved to serve 5 schools as a Gifted Coordinator and most recently as an Academic Coach for Mitchell Neilson Elementary. I am beyond excited to now join the Overall Creek family.
I believe in the power of collaboration between home and school and will actively work towards creating a partnership that ensures the success and well-being of our students. It is my goal to create a supportive environment that will enable our teachers to thrive professionally and provide quality education for our Otters. I am dedicated to keeping our students at the heart of everything we do, and I am committed to ensuring Overall Creek is a place where every student can reach their full potential.
Let us work together to make this academic year a resounding success!
