If you have not registered for next year or you will be new to OCE. We would love for your family to register as soon as possible. Please check dates and times on the left, to see when the office will be open to register.

The last three years, prior to opening school, we had a “Meet the Teacher Night” the evening before the first half-day for 1st-6th grade students. Once again we will have that very exciting evening from 4:30-6:00 on August 3rd. However, there will be one significant change. In the past we posted class rosters on the windows outside. This year, you will come inside to tables designated by the first initial of the student’s last name and receive an envelope with your child’s teacher’s name and room number in it. Prior to receiving this envelope you must provide us with address verification. Acceptable forms of address verification are water, electric, or gas bills (service address not mailing address). Additionally, recent lease agreements, rental agreements, or home purchases may be used. “Recent” means on or after June 1st, 2017. If you are using a home purchase agreement it must have the address and indicate that you will be living in the OCE zone after August 8th, 2017. This also applies to families that are enrolled under a zone waiver. You and your verification document may come during office hours beginning July 26th-August 3rd to find out who your teacher will be. Please check our website for office hours during the Summer. This may help you skip some lines on the evening of the 3rd.

Song: "Fanfare for the Common Man"
Composer: Aaron Copland
Year: 1942

The song was slow and it was also loud at some times.  This song was fun to listen to because it didn't have any words to it, so it helped calm me down. Unlike most songs, this song didn't have any moments where it sounded sad. It was happy and fast. "Fanfare for the Common Man" had a drum in it, and it was so loud and fun! The song never lost its meaning.  I hope you enjoy this song as much as I did. I liked this song because it had no words.
